The avocado (pear is a fruit; generally, is served raw. The avocado is often eaten as a fruit eaten alone or mixed with other fruits in a fruit salad, or as part of a vegetable salad. It is used for soup, sandwiches, hotdogs, milkshakes, ice cream etc. Due to its smooth texture, it is also used for smoothies as a thickener.
The Avocado is rich in several B vitamins and vitamin K, with good content of vitamin C, vitamin E and potassium. They also contain phytosterols and carotenoids, such as lutein and zeaxanthin.
